Michael Easter's The Comfort Crisis just blew my mind.
I bought the book because I am fascinated by behavior and how we always opt for easy. The chapter, 4,000 Calories, blindsided me— it is about our relationship with food and hunger and why, in general, we can't lose or even maintain weight.
If you struggle with your relationship with food or fad diets or are recovering from an eating disorder like myself, this chapter alone is worth the price of the book.

I’ll be re-listening to it and taking some very detailed notes because it is that important.
The idea that we don't understand when we're truly hungry is eye-opening.
