A Simple Way to Fight Procrastination

ASK YOURSELF THIS ONE QUESTION

We ALL procrastinate to some degree, and while I know itโ€™s tough to stop entirely, this trick will help reduce your distractions.

Ask yourself: Whatโ€™s my procrastination move?

๐Ÿค” What do you find yourself doing to avoid what needs to be done?

If you donโ€™t know the answer off the top of your head (most of us do), then track how you spend your time for the next 3 days.

โ˜‘๏ธ Maybe you scroll IG to avoid making calls to your insurance company?
โ˜‘๏ธ If you work from home, maybe you do a load of laundry instead of calling back clients?
โ˜‘๏ธ In an office? What kind of busywork do you distract yourself with?

๐Ÿ‘‰ When you know what your procrastination move is, you can pause to ask yourself, โ€œwhat am I avoiding?โ€

And then get back to it.

Eventually, youโ€™ll catch yourself before you start your procrastination move, but even if you donโ€™t, simply knowing how you distract yourself is an important step.

๐Ÿ™Œ Hereโ€™s to disrupting your procrastination patterns!
