Easy Hack To Reach Your Goals
MOMS HAVE GOALS, TOO. USE THIS TRICK TO HELP REACH THEM.
If you struggle to set and achieve your goals, try this:
👉 Decide what TYPE of goal it is.
According to BJ Fogg there are generally two types of goals:
Outcome Goals & Aspirational Goals
What’s the difference?
An aspiration is hard to measure (I aspire to be kinder to people)
An outcome has specific steps (read 10 books)
👉 If your goal is really an aspiration, brainstorm all of the ways you could achieve it.
EXAMPLE:
If one way you could be “be kind” is to listen more, that’s your goal, so
figure out the steps to achieve it (read 2 communication books, practice 1x daily, etc..)
👉 Don’t overthink it.
✓ If it’s easy to break down and measure, it’s an outcome goal.
✓ If you can’t, it’s likely an aspiration, meaning you need to create smaller outcome goals to reach it.
